Preparing the Dye

I'm catching up on blips from this summer. I took this shot at the Anacortes Arts Festival. They had a place set up to prepare acrylic dye and then use it on a piece of clothing. This girl was getting ready to dye a t shirt.

The extra is one of the sculptures that was in the juried show.

Just want to share with you that all is well with me. I've been very busy and gradually found myself blipping less and less. It seems that if I slow down, inevitably I stop. My busy times have been very good ones. My move to the Fairhaven district of Bellingham proved to be a great idea. Now I'm just across the driveway from Shelly so we can, and do, spend lots of time together. Where I now live, I can walk to a market, stores and places to eat. It's the most urban I've ever lived and I'm loving the closeness of everything. Also right behind our condo complex there is the edge of the large trail system here, so I'm really near nature too. It's lovely. This summer we mostly stayed put though I did go to Oregon for a week to paint. That got me back into the painting groove and now I'm painting in my condo laundry room and no longer have a shared studio away from home. Very happy with that! And Shelly and I are even happier and closer than ever so that is wonderful. I hope to do more blipping but doubt I'll be doing that daily again any time soon. Thanks to all of you who drop by. And for you concern about me. I'm happy and life is good.
