Do my hips look big in this ? ......

Water , water everywhere but not a drop to drink. A wet morning so sent Kev off to cart straw home from Oxenfoord.
Gareth away up to Stirling mart with a load of store lambs. Luckily I noticed the trailer had a puncture before he loaded. Once the spare was on and he was away, I went up to the hill to see if I could cure the water supply problems as all the troughs for the cows ran dry yesterday. Took an IBC with 1000 litres of water, the water pump, various lengths of 25 and 20 mm pipe and as many water fittings as I could find, a collie ,lab and terrier and headed off beside the grouse.
Ended up pumping water back up the pipe line until we discovered a joint in a ditch that had blown off. Once it was rejoined with a new coupling that sorted the problem .
Back home then off to Haddington to get the puncture fixed, home via Lothian Tractors to get a hydraulic hose repaired and before you know it it was getting dark .
So much for getting on with the harvest.
At least the rose hips seem to be in abundance this year.
