Harvest

I have grown three tomato plants this year. Not grown from seed this time, but given to me by a friend. If I’d known I was going to be away for 6 weeks this summer I would have turned them down! They were mostly neglected - NO feeding - although my lodgers and a neighbour did water them while I was gone. So I’ve ended up with a very small crop. This is maybe just a third of it. But the ones that did grow and ripen have been VERY delicious! My expert-tomato-growing neighbour said it was a bad year for tomatoes so maybe I shouldn’t feel so bad.
