The waves at Sandy Beach were all over the place - literally, altho the right side seemed to be favoured. Some larger waves came roaring in with other behind them, but then the shallow beach created other smaller ones mixing in, often at an angle, sometimes one right on top of another. The scalloped beach meant some beautiful runups. Saw the footprint of at least one wave that jumped the scallop to flood above it. One extra is a magnificent explosion of backwash. The other extra shows a boarder catching sun on only one side of his face.
