A great neighbourhood

I joined Janet and some of my new friends for a boat ride straight in from Fusina to Zattere. The rain clattered down on us, dogs and babies look a little forlorn, and then a man played a few tunes in his ocarina and it all seemed quite normal

A little gentle biennale (carnival and blustering gold) then the magnificent Guggenheim. What a gal! I bought some earrings to celebrate. Lunch just along the Grand Canal at this gorgeous hotel and then Janet took us to some secret Tintoretto and Botticelli treasures before we headed back for dinner at the first gathering of the group. We are going to have such fun. I feel very privileged to meet these wonderful people. A thunderstorm approved too.
