Islay Marathon Finisher

A pleasant way to spend the weekend. Chopped 20mins off my marathon time from Copenhagen last year, 3hrs21 now. Onwards.

It was a brilliant race, a good A-B route with lots of hills and water stations. I was 6th in a field of 49.

I only just made the return ferry, the gangplank had been removed so I had to ‘run’ up the vehicle ramp which was about to close Keanu Reeves style. Sort of.
