Last Day Of The Season
Our local lido, the Greenbank, closed for the season today and the weather had a suitably Autumnal feel with a slight nip in the air early on. It didn't deter the regulars from enjoying one last swim and Kate & Sophie stayed over again so they could join us. We spent a lot of time swimming and chatting to friends, some of whom we might not see again until next May. The pool closing always seems to mark the end of Summer
Kate & Sophie headed home after lunch so we did a bit of shopping, I picked a few apples while Tess was doing a bit of cooking to get ahead of the game for what is going to be a busy week, then we had the luxury of time to read the Sunday papers before I cooked dinner, keeping an eye on England's game, but eventually futile, effortsto save the Ashes.
