Order before Mass

This is the Abbey at Downside (www.downside.co.uk), my alma mater. Nearly fifty years has passed since I occupied one of these seats, but the current students are far better behaved than were I and my chums. Perhaps the presence of masters has made the difference.

The celebrant at Mass today was at school with me, so we could discuss mutual friends as well as the passage of time. His description of Brexit (etc. . .)? A tragedy, in the classical sense.
