1779. DS157....burnt out B&M Store

The B&M Store in Perth was set on fire deliberately a week or so ago and totally destroyed. The perpetrator was inside when the fire got totally out of control and he died in the fire. There are lots of rumours and speculation about whether or not he was a serial fire starter but who knows. Sad that a life has been wasted this way but the damage has a major knock on effect for dozens of employees who may or may not be able to continue to be employed. The store next door was also severely damaged and some animals were killed in the fire too, although many were saved. I think it’s awful that someone deliberately put the lives of others in jeopardy for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Our fire fighters risk their lives daily like this...they shouldn’t have to in a deliberately set fire....and as for the defenceless animals it’s a terrible way to die....
