Painted lady.  You know sometimes you go about things the wrong way and then there is a lightbulb moment when things just click.  I have always tried to catch butterflies with my macro lens which requires stealth movements and stalking of the butterfly to get close to it and it inevitably results in disappointment.  I have been using the telephoto lens more recently and have (to my taste) much better results.  No stealth movements required.

A very windy day which was spent in the Nursing home with Hamish and at the Hospital with my Aunt.   She is progressing but it has been a bit of a two steps forward one step back type progression.

Madly packing now to head off to Sydney.  Must remember to catch something to blip before I go!  I have promised the hounds a walk too so I better get my skates on.
