Another grey day
Went to Kirkton to do a coastal walk. We heard and then saw oyster catchers. We had intended to walk round the headland but the waves were too high in the wind and the sea was too near the cliffs. So we had to scramble up to the top and then down the other side.
We came to an abandoned settlement of several ruined houses where we stopped for a bite to eat. I looked up to see a Golden Eagle flying above us. It was huge and its flight so effortless, hardly moving its wings at all.
This photo was the view as we walked back to the car.
