Moorhen

We went down to the Botanics to see the winning photos of a competition to celebrate Oak trees. They were good, although we preferred a different picture from the one that won; it’s good we don’t all like the same things. We then spent a fair amount of time looking at the juvenile Moorhens on the pond. They aren’t remotely afraid of people and you can get close even with a standard zoom lens.
