Sally Mair - Loving life

The Storehouse

Popped over to the Storehouse on the north shore of the Cromarty Firth this morning where Mairi and I enjoyed a cheese scone and coffee. I was very impressed with the lovely flower arrangements this lady was making for the tables and she was amused when I asked to take her picture.
From there I drove back over the Cromarty Bridge and then along the low road to Cromarty where I had a wander around before heading over to Fortrose for a bowl of soup before meeting Blipper Houseonahill6 to do some dolphin spotting. We were unsuccessful but did spot a cheeky seal out two and some cormorants. The sea looked a bit rough and the skies were remarkable, blue and clear to the north east and heavy dark clouds to the west along the Firth towards Inverness. See the panoramic extra.
I took a detour along the north of the Forth via Muir of Ord and Beauly before going back to Inverness. Its a beautiful path of the country and the sun was shining.
We had a Cursillo meeting this evening and it was good to catch up with the folks from Moray Diocese. I'm enjoying my mini tour of the North.
Not walking enough though, only 5432 steps today so I'm going to have to work hard for the rest of the week.
