Descent Into Darkness

The first photo I took today, just before 7am; an as yet unopened Metrolink tram station in East Manchester.
The track does actually dip as the tram leaves the road and heads through a tunnel to Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. Maybe not quite as steep as it seems here, but I got a bit of a fright when I heard a tram not far behind me; there are currently test runs taking place on this line.

The tram driver probably saw me, and can now join the exclusive club known as "we've all seen that weirdo out and about with his camera."
