Finals Day

What a beautiful day, in stark contrast to the last few wet and windy ones. This morning we had a good turn out of volunteers planting bulbs and cyclamen in the Church garden. After that a quick change and off to the finals day at the tennis club to support friends in the finals. I had a walk around the park and a chat with the lady who heads up the park volunteers and she had lots of top tips for planting a wild flower meadow, she even offered seeds. How great is it when you meet people who are so passionate about nature and keen to share their experience. Managed to see this busy hover fly in a little clump of poppies. A very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon sat in the sun eating cake and watching tennis!
