Now that's an Alligator

What a great visit we had exploring the wetlands around us. Have shot many blips but this one stood out for a particular reason. So the wetlands were full of live today, plenty of Herons, Hawks, ducks, spoonbills, and much more! This fellow was just sitting on the side of the road - my mom who's here visiting and never seen one decided to get up close. Although my husband and I kept warning her that these attack , and run faster then she ever could ignored us! She is 83 and got a little to close for our comfort- after all this isn't the zoo but out in the wild! Anyhow, we are all safe including Quincy - got a good look at him which wouldn't have happened if for mom!
