Dualling

Doors open day in Perth & Kinross and we headed over to the Balfour Beatty site at Bankfoot to find out more about the dualling of the A9 between Luncarty & Dunkeld.

A most interesting afternoon which included a drive around the works and a stop at a viewing platform.

We also tried Japanese knotweed and ginger jam - surprisingly tasty. It reminded me of rhubarb jam and apparently in South Wales it is called poor man's rhubarb. Not quite sure why you need poor man's rhubarb as it grows fairly abundantly but perhaps not as abundantly as knotweed.
