Famiy heirloom

Nothing much to blip on our walk today as the weather was grey & dull so a desperation indoors one instead.

This vase has been around for as long as I remember, I always liked the look of it.
I don't know what it is made of, opaque painted glass I think as the light shines through it as I have tried to demonstrate ( not too successfully) with a lamp behind.
