Action!

Well that’s Friday almost put to bed as the TGIF wine bottle is upended in its bucket. It has certainly been a action packed Friday for this reluctant widow.

It began with an 8:15am hearing test which confirmed my need for hearing aids if I want to hear conversations across a room. Why is it that I find glasses totally acceptable but hearing aids embarrassing and very ageing? Just my irrational preconceptions.

Then a quick dash into town to have coffee with a school friend in the Ivy which is always very civilised at not much extra expense.

After lunch there was a quick cycle ride over potholes that constitute roads in Central Edinburgh to the old Temple of Toast to meet up with a cycling friend and catch up on all things mechanical and personal.

But the day was only complete when a select gathering of neighbours met in the Marriott at 5 pm and demolished a bottle+ of wine
Not all Fridays are so sociable and enjoyable.......
