Elk

Thank you for the hearts and stars.

We saw lots and lots of animals. These two elk are play fighting. Soon hormones will get the best of them and they won’t be playing. We saw bison in the road, during the day and then after dark tonight. We saw bison stalking females, we saw young bison, we saw rolling bison, we saw an idiot out taking a picture of the bison from far too close. We sort of saw mountain goats but really we saw tiny white dots.

We went on a hike tonight that wound up much, much longer than it was supposed to be (according to the hiking guide) and my feet hurt. No night photography, the sky is covered in clouds. This is good, I desperately need more sleep. I hope you have great days.
