The noise of danger

After many occasions of thinking about it but not quite getting there I finally made a visit to RAF Cosford today, a reasonably local air museum which, like all good museums, is free to get in. It was certainly worth going to see, in a 'big tin sheds full of aeroplanes' kind of way, but the half mile walk between the railway station and the museum, along a service road next to the perimeter fence of the airbase, without a pavement or any obvious clues that we were going the right way, was a bit less impressive. Fortunately the walk was enlivened by several signs like the one shown here - I particularly liked the very expressive picture..
