Highland Wild Life Park
Last Saturday before the boys go back to School, we had a family trip to the Highland Wild Life Park.
It is just an hour up the road and because we end up going a few times in the year the annual family ticket makes very good value for us. It was dry, mild and a pleasant day to be out and about.
It is quite something that there are only two Polar Bears in the UK and they both live so close to Roy Bridge. They enjoy roaming a large 5 acre enclosure and must have a good quality of life for such beasts in captivity. It remained quite dull while we were there and the available light didn't really lend itself to much animal photography. I have previously blipped a red panda here on a brighter day.
On the way out there is another short drive through section, there was a wee splash of low evening sunshine and we got snaps of this noble looking Bactrian Camel.
