2013 week 1 challenge - light

Last year I didn't do any of the 'challenges' but I might dip in this time around.

The end of a short week, but long enough. The office is slowly waking up but won't be back to full strength until next week. Mid afternoon I noticed that the sunset might be worth a look and, having remembered this week's theme, added in the unlit lamp as an extra. The bird is a bonus, well, would be if it was bigger.

Talking of bigger birds, S reports that on returning from a bird watching walk he (ironically) found a sparrowhawk in the tree just beside the house - "complete with its dinner..."

E, J, Ellis and I saw The Hobbit this evening. It was good but stretching a third of the book to 3 hours of film really is too far. It could easily have lost 20-30 minutes without losing any scenes at all.
