5% of Challenge Completed

The first organised running event of my 2013 100k Challenge is complete. This 5 kilometre Great Winter Run is definitely a good way to blast away those festive cobwebs especially as the first 3k of this run is uphill with a climb of around 400 feet.

The event took place in Hollyrood Park in Edinburgh running around the perimeter of the park and climbing up towards Arthur's Seat.

Between two and three thousand people took part in the 5k run and my official time was 27 minutes 31 seconds which put me in position 689.

My next race is a 10k event in Buchlyvie at the end of January.
