Ireland: buildings of Johnstown and Kilkenny
Johnstown Castle had been in renovation for several years, it just a fluke that we were in the very first group of tourists to view the interior. (And my last trip to Ireland was 20 years ago)
Irish Agricultural Museum was also stunning. If you have any interest in the Ferguson tractor - in particular the "little grey Fergie" or 1946-1956-D-T20 model - this is a must. The museum also houses a Renault Popemobile. No kidding.
(P.S. I spent many days driving a little grey Fergie around the Sussex countryside. And I had no idea then that the Fergie was an Irish product.)
Up now to the town of Kilkenny. I just thought that its architecture contrasts nicely with Johnstown.
