Party Day

We had a morning at home pottering, before we headed out for a busy afternoon and evening. I put her in the wrap to walk into town - she was asleep before we even left the house. I had a couple of bits to do and bumped into friend who I got a quick cuppa with before we headed off to our old village.

We were going to a 4th birthday party for one of our little friends, Emma. It was a "no-boys, princess party". She had specified that none of her male friends were allowed to attend. Katie started out in her beautiful Sleeping Beauty gown and then changed into one of Emma's princess dresses. Then back into hers. Then back into Emma's. She wasnt keen on playing pass the parcel, she hates it when the music stops on her. She enjoyed the dancing games though. My little goddaughter Olivia is Emma's baby sister, so I enjoyed getting lots of big cuddles with her. She gave me my first proper kiss too!

We then dashed to her swimming lesson, a little late, but she had a great time and threw herself into it. While she was swimming, I chatted to friends and one of their babies, who also gave me a lovely big kiss too.

We stopped at the supermarket to get some party food as we had a message to say Granny and Grandad were coming for tea. I decided we would have our New Years' meal, just a few days late. A busy but happy day.
