Took the bus to.......

......Exeter, and very impressed! Had a sunny bus ride through country lanes edged with blackberries, through little villages, past thatched cottages with trays of eggs and beans for sale on wooden tables, to the very lovely city of Exeter. Wide clean pavements, old, medieval and new buildings, with quirky artisan shops and cafes in little narrow streets spread around the centre. And of course the magnificent cathedral. Joined the throngs around Cathedral Green with my packed lunch plus a yummy hot sausage roll. Difficult to get good photos with a dull light, and vans and a lorry setting up equipment for an event? My main is a very quirky 15th century Tudor Inn with a nautical heritage...plus the cathedral and a couple of interesting extras....
