Metropol Parasol

Walked round the Old Quarter of Seville today and came across this incredible structure. It is known as the Mushroom and is a vast wooden structure designed by the German architecture Jugen Mayer and it was completed in 2011. It was constructed to provide shade and to make the square it is situated on more habitable.Wonderful views over the city and in the distance you can see the palace where we were yesterday.
