Promenading at Clevedon on the Severn Estuary
I dropped Helena off at Bristol Airport so she could catch a flight to Glasgow en route to stay with various members of her family near Oban in Argyll.
To drive home I chose the slightly longer very small back roads that go across country towards the sea. On the spur of the moment instead of joining the M5 motorway I followed the signs to the beach at Clevedon in Somerset, which was only two miles away.
It was a Bank Holiday weekend so it was very busy. As I couldn't walk far I managed to stop just above the beach to take a look at the wonderful pier. I even managed this quick blip from beside the car. A lovely venue and scene. I do like to be beside the seaside.
