Still blooming

The orchid, having put up a stem that produced flowers for several months, had a little rest and then put out a stem that branched off halfway up the original one. (Memo to self: do not cut back old orchid stems unless they're shriveled up.)

It's still going, bless it, very untidily, leaning on the coffee plant and apparently thriving on benign neglect and thin air mostly. Maybe it likes the steam from the washing up bowl.

Edit: the only thing I did today was finally get my self-employed accounts in - decided that a blip of my cash book would have been too boring ( cue civil engineering jokes). :-)
