The top of the hill

Day 2 of our trip to Whitby took us up the famous 199 steps where at the top was this lovely old church St Mary's Church which dates back to around 1100. I have posted a  Backblip for yesterday . A very enjoyable couple of days and we got to stay in an old house(Ruswarp Hall ) see extra  built in 1603 and is possibly the oldest building lived in well worth checking out if your looking for somewhere to stay. I have also included a couple of other extras including a steam train that came past the track we walked down into Whitby. It would have been nice to stay longer but back to reality and work tomorrow . A full selection of shots from the 2 days can be seen On Flickr .
