Enjoy Chinese and Indian food without rice
Many limiting their intake of grey and white carbohydrates find the thought of a Chinese or Indian meal without rice, inconceivable. It’s not and the alternatives to rice are more nutritious, tasty and once tried rice will never be craved again.
Tonight I had allotment vegetables in a black bean sauce served on a bed of cauliflower rice (300g) and Quinoa with green lentils (220g). A big delicious meal pilling in 800 calories. This was followed by a sweet of 250g Summer Berries, 100g stewed plums (unsweetened),25g Oatbran and 125ml of Full fat Greek Yogurt.(another 350 calories). Not a grey or white carbohydrate in sight!!
Some might think this is a lot of calories for someone on a diet but my body has to work to extract them, it will keep me full till breakfast tomorrow and I did expend 840 calories in a 2 hour gym session this morning
