The Riverside Walk
Day 1 of my course and after a quick slide show where we were shown the works of several artists to inspire and inform us, we headed out with our sketch books.
Our destination was the Riverside walk area.
We were only working in B&W using charcoal, white chalk pastel and biro.
This is one of several sketches I made while down at the river.
It is a continuous line drawing made using a biro pen and charcoal and white pastel used to introduce tones.
In the afternoon we headed down to the harbour to capture more images for our sketch book.
My extra shows an unusual little sculpture in the front garden of the Ceilidh Place.
