Flipping through plans
Its been a great day working with the Trust that owns the property on which our offices have been since 1934. Our task for the day was to wade through boxes of plans going back to the 1920's to see if we could find the two that were missing from APD records.
We were partly successful which is a pity as it now means a visit to the council offices to see if they have copies and if not we will have to have new versions created.
This one caught my eye. Not sure I would like to have been a boss boy unless of course that resulted in first dibs in the skoff room :-)
Another of the whole property included sections such as "native compound" and "blacks only". I am so glad the world has moved on from those days. We certainly wouldn't have be here if they hadn't.
