Big Beach Busk 10
The tenth beach busk today. The weather started a bit grey, with a few spots of rain. Possibly as a result it was a little quiet to start with but by mid-afternoon the sun was out and the place was buzzing. L and G busked for a while (one of my extras) and then L carried on on her own when G had to leave. Earlier was the sandcastle competition - tide dependent - extra of our local MP Tommy Sheppard considering the entries in his role as judge. Managed to get a portrait of P - the guy that started the whole thing off - thought he looked good in black and white. After it wrapped up L went along to the Boathouse to claim her free pint as a busker and then we walked back along the Prom - dodged a brief shower, bought fish n chips from the van, saw a rainbow and had our chips looking out across the beach sitting on the cake stand. Where the day had begun with our mini-blipmeet. Still time to head up town in the evening for a friend's 50th - met up with some of the Meadows footballers and then party boy J said I should meet a friend of his who is a fellow 'Arab' (fan of Dundee United). Turned out he was the brother of someone who was in my sister's class at school, who was friends with my mate E's brother and not only knew my friend M, who I worked with at S&N, but had also been at her wedding, as was I. Edinburgh at its 'big village' best!!
