Headed out to try something new last night/this morning. After a little research we were promised a meteor shower so thought it would be a great idea to head out and capture it.

Rather than the usual star trails I wanted to capture the meteors in a more static star formation and managed to capture absolutely none in the hour or so that the camera was running - gutted.

Still, a reasonable image of the night sky was captured and I hope you agree that it is still worth sharing even if the dreaded light pollution is very evident at the bottom of the image. I will definitely be trying this again!
