The sacrificial altar

I’m pretty sure that I have mentioned before that I am rather fond of tomatoes!!
I think that this particular one, is one of the most attractive tomatoes I have ever seen.
The variety is Blue Bayou . ( I know I have linked this song before but this is a different version, and wow, that is some voice and some backing band!)
However, this tomato was ready to make the ultimate sacrifice and I have to say it was delicious.
This afternoon, I met a few ex-colleagues for coffee and cakes and most pleasant it was.
P.S. I wonder if anyone knows what the “altar” is!!!
