Blustery

Once we had packed up the car and taken Sarah and Chris to Coniston for their lift back to London, D and I headed west and climes Black Combe, Criffel’s twin south of the Solway. It was our first ascent in over 30 years! D remembered the path as being so grassy that the walk could be done “in carpet slippers”. Wordsworth was a little more effusive in his description.

Rather blustery and suddenly very wet on the way up, then sunny and warm on the way down. Lots of blackberries gathered on the walk back to the car :-)
