A place called l'Isle

The weather stayed dry for my belated birthday outing! We caught a retro train from Morges with old-fashioned bare wooden seats and overhead luggage racks. A delicious brunch was served.

After our brunch, travelling through pretty countryside, we got off the train to get some exercise on country lanes and then returned to the station to get another train back to Morges and I took another one back to Lausanne.

We were lucky with dry weather and some blue skies in the morning, then it clouded over and was a little muggy.  A really lovely outing and a lovely surprise for me!
