A 15K with JMJ this morning, reflecting on this brilliant song. I always thought the narrator is talking to her lover. But, "Perhaps," I thought, "it's a stalker talking to her captured quarry." Then I saw this church, with doors conveniently closed, and thought, "Perhaps it's God talking to Her congregation."

After all, Exodus 31:14
"You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,"
