On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Twelve creme-eggs waiting,
Eleven paintings bollarded
Ten green bottles a standingonawall,
Nine disco balls dangling
Eight posts protruding
007 spies a spying
Six Wellies wading
Five minty rings
Four compass points
Three French cheeses
Two lunching Lovers
and a Jane Langridge in an Ash tree
On the last day of Christmas what a better reminder that according to the retailers Easter is nearly here. No doubt in time for the winter weather to arrive they will also be stocking shorts and swimwear.
What are they waiting for; well it could be Godot but more likely to be eaten. I doubt they will last until Easter but I did have to promise not to eat them all today.
Eggs were one of the few obvious things we could think of that come in 12, so chocolate eggs seemed a good replacement. I had not realised how difficult it would be to photograph them. So in the end this one was chosen.
I have already been asked what I will be doing for my 365; blimey I have nearly a week to to think about that.
This 12 Days of Christmas has certainly focussed the mind and got the grey cells going. It is a good job my family kept the suggestions coming or I doubt I would have completed it.
Now to take the decorations down for 12th night.
Have a great weekend.
