Days Like This

What a day. 

What a game.

Augsburg won 3-2 in overtime. As is obvious, it could have gone either way. We even had a Belfast "goal" with 1 minute left in normal time chalked off after video review.

Augsburg brought a huge support. I guess 1,000 out of the 5,000 crowd. They drank and sang the whole game, pausing only at the period breaks to get more beer. The noise was fierce. 

It brought back memories of the games I went to in Ingolstadt. 

The Belfast fans did not know what had hit them. Nor did the arena security. There was no trouble of course - this is ice hockey. 

My travel all went well, and after I had checked into the hotel, I had a superb pint of Guinness in McHugh's. 

Aye, what a day.
