Life's Little Moments

Hummie-time

I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year.  I love it because there is everything imaginable going on in my garden; but I hate it because it signals that summer is drawing to a close.  Soon the garden will be fading, the hummers and butterflies will be gone, and winter will be around the corner.    I like that you can see this guy's single red feather, the beginnings of what will be a glorious red gorget in a few more months.  The image is horrendously cropped, but it is fine for online.

Hubs and his race team took the car to a nearby track for another test day today - it was not the success they'd hoped for.  Some frustration and disappointment all around.  But at least it was a change of scene from the job search and nursing home search.

Tonight we are headed over to our friends that own the organic farm for dinner and conversation.  I know we'll have a great time - we always do.  Barbara will be taking care of my monarch chrysalids and cats when Hubs and I take off on our RV trip (assuming that Hubs is able to fix the latest problem with the slide out before Monday).  Really, nothing has gone smoothly this week.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
