Griffin vulture

Flying past the Tour de Famelon, Leysin. We were walking along and suddenly he appeared behind my husband. He was huge and it took me awhile to react, switch the camera on, take the lens cap off and focus on him. It’s the first time I’ve seen one here, or at least seen one and been able to identify it. Also saw around 15 chamoix. Beautiful views throughout the walk. They call the Tour de Famelon ‘the Sphinx’ and you can see why in the extra.
