Day #3 Bordeaux
Today was HOT! Around 33 degrees and we were melting....
The famous mirror pool along the redeveloped Garonne waterfront, in front of the Place de La Bourse, was very well used today by lots of little children in particular. The alternating mist and water that creates the mirror were welcomed by all. Of course this made it very difficult to shoot anything that resembled a mirror.
We had a nice walk along the Garonne and then into town, which was nicer than expected on account of the cooler shadows! There are some nice buildings and areas to explore, but it was far too hot to be out in the sun all day. After a couple of stops for a cool drink we headed back to the ship and it's air conditioning. We have another day tomorrow to explore the public gardens and it's supposed to be a bit cooler I think.
In the evening, the ship was much quieter than normal on account of the overnight stop with many people preferring to dine in the city. We opted for one of the speciality restaurants and had a fantastic meal and then had an early night.
