Bad Ragaz to Bormio 170 miles

A very long tiring day today but beautiful weather. Arrived feeling shaken not stirred!!

We started the day with a loop around Liechtenstein...just so we could tick it off the list...well it would have been rude not to! Then it was onto the Fluela Pass (2383m) where we met up with another Atom owner and his wife at the summit. After lunch it was over the Fuorn Pass (2149m) and into Italy and over the Reschen Pass (1504m) and down to Lake Reschen where today’s blip is taken. This is an artificial lake created in 1950, famous for the steeple of a submerged 14th century church which can be reached on foot when the water freezes.

The atoms then headed to Bormio via the Stelvio Pass (2757m) but as we’d been left behind in traffic we took the quicker route over the Umbrail Pass (2503m) which entailed returning to Switzerland and crossing back into Italy at the end of the Pass before we joined the end of the Stelvio.

Tomorrow we’re going to take a day out...a lie in (in the upgraded room we were given on arrival) and a leisurely drive to our next stop. There’s a right thunderstorm going on now, hope it’s gone by morning!!
