Hawkwind

Can't not blip Hawkwind today. It's 50 years today since they played their first gig under the name GroupX. 50 years and countless albums and gigs later, they are still still going strong, guided by the hand of founding member Dave Brock. They will be doing a 50th anniversary tour late this year and I'll be at their gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow. This is a shot of the first Hawkwind album I bought back in 1980, in a record shop in Glasgow's Byres Road. It's probably my favourite one, released in 1972.
