Lodge Park
This is a National Trust property just down the road from us. We have some friends staying for a couple of days so popped down after the rain for a quick look just before closing time. It was built in the 1630's 'at the great cost and charges of a noble true-hearted gentleman'. We could do with a few of those today.
In the evening we had an excellent Indian meal. I had Joypur Honey Duck - tandoori duck cooked with spices, coriander, cream and strawberries with honey sauce. Very nice, and free drinks afterwards, though I had to decline as I was driving.
