A Mountain Rescue

En route for Morzine to stay next door to Faye and James &co. We have booked a swanky looking B&B just up the road from them. On arriving there is no one to be seen. AltiLodge, it’s called. We bang on doors and peer through windows. Nobody at home. Anyway, it actually looks a bit shambolic. Valerie phones the number. 
 
"We’ve got no bookings and anyway we are away for the weekend ", says the lady. 
 
Just behind the empty chalet I see another brand new one with some people chatting so we drive round. I explain the situation to them and ask if they know of anywhere else nearby. Well, they tell me, we’ve just completed our new chalet which we will be operating as a guest house. We aren’t open yet but you can stay with us if you like. Give us half an hour to make up your room and all will be ready for you. Our new friends, Nono and Frank, have saved the day for us
 
Wow. What a beautiful place it is. A massive living room with a spectacular view across the valley you see in the photo. We have a cosy pine clad room with a balcony and luxe bathroom. 
 
So here we are for the next few days. After unpacking we head off down the road to Faye and James for childrens’ bathtime and dinner. Result!
