A wet morning in Kirkwall

I had to be in town for an 8am work appointment this morning. An opportunity to capture an empty street. It's a rare sight just now with cruise ship passengers usually milling about, in addition to other tourists and locals.

A controversial bollard can be seen bottom left. Part of a traffic (or pedestrian?) calming scheme, they encourage cars to slow down and pedestrians to cross at the right place, safely.
